  1. I attended the Northampton hearing. Not sure I helped much as I was not aware of the work that had gone on – I asked that Lutterworth get more from Harborough (Bosworth ward) which helped on the numbers but assumed that the Lutterworth Daventry tie up was sacrosanct.

Have since emailed the Boundary Commission to emphasise that though Lutterworth has only mild links with Harborough, Hinckley or Blaby -Its main links are with Rugby (in West Midlands) and possibly central Leicester, these links are much stronger than with Daventry

    • Although it would be more in the spirit of the Review to take Rutland out, I think the Commission will stick with its proposal to take Lutterworth out. I think there is a good chance though that they’ll change their mind about Coalville. It’s possible to take Melton and Lutterworth out like this: https://ukelect.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/leics-northants-dl.png
      NW Leics 76,690
      Loughborough 77,884
      Charnwood 75,454
      Blaby 78,871
      Hinckley & Bosworth 73,119
      Rutland & Harborough 74,668
      Daventry & Lutterworth 77,986
      Corby 79,468
      Kettering 76,083
      Towcester 73,975
      Wellingborough 79,080
